Hey Everyone! This month's fanart list falls to me to put together, and I have done my utmost. As you will find, I love pencil drawings and pen-and-ink work, though colorful stuff is also appreciated. So, without further ado, here's some fanart!
Narnia by masiani. This lovely work perfectly portrays the essence of Narnia as Lucy found it. Look at that detail; the shading, the slight wispy-ness of the lines. Beautiful.
Young Aragorn by ilxwing. This next piece is a beautiful work portrayingAragorn (or Estel, as he would have been called) as a young boy in Elrond's house. I LOVE this piece. The lines are so simple and clean.
Tears For the Fallen by phantomphreaq. This one is a gorgeous and poignant rendition of the moment Eómer finds Eówen on the battlefield. All my feels are coming back...:'(
This piece of Bucky (as the Winter Soldier) is another sad one. I love the detail and feeling in this drawing. I could not find the artist for this one, so if anyone knows who it is please tell me so I can credit them!
Rabadash by surburbanbeatnik. For anyone who's read The Horse and His Boy, here is a lovely picture of bratty Prince Rabadash. If not, here's a picture of bratty Prince Rabadash anyway.
Portrait of Prim by joanap. Prim! This is beautiful and another sad one. I just finished reading Mockingjay, so it's bringing back all my feels. So, to change the subject, I would like to point out the perfect shading and the perfect emotions reflected in her eyes. Oh, the pain.
Don't Blink by Lehanan. Anna's technically the Doctor Who person over here, but I couldn't help posting this. Look at that work! It's giving me chills.
Look. They're being friends and confidants just like they should be. Just having a nice, untroubled-by-magical-creatures-and-evil-half-sisters conversation. *goes off and cries* This one is also uncredited, unfortunately.
Beatrice Prior by ansimeone. Tris, shown here in the clothes she wore while a refuge in Amity, is much more like I imagined her when I read the books than the movie version. Don't get me wrong. Shailene Woodly did a great job. But I imagined Tris more like this.
Icy Blood by jen-and-kris. Look at the vivid color is this one! The fear in his eyes and the different painting style in this are gorgeous. Poor Loki, back when he was innocent and hurting. :(

Hello, all! I apologize for the lack of posting recently. As you probably know, things have been getting a lot busier these days.
Today, I, Anna, will be bringing you my top ten fanfics.
I'm not a huge fanfic person, but I really enjoyed these stories and they are worth the mention. This list includes crossovers and poetry.
So, without further ado, I present to you my list, in no order. Hope you enjoy!
1. King Edmund The Matchmaker? - A Narnia fic, this one is a humorous, clean read. While the characters' personalities are not exact, it's still a great fic.
2. The Age of Dragons - A crossover of Merlin and How To Train Your Dragon. I haven't completed it yet, but so far I enjoy it, and it's actually a believable crossover.
3. The Dark Between the Stars - this Star Wars oneshot reflects on one of the characters in the upcoming film. It was very well done.
4. Clash of the Ancients - A Percy Jackson/Merlin crossover! Sounds epic, right? Well, so far we only have one chapter, but I'm hoping it will be continued soon. Great writing.
5. A Pair of Protectors - A Merlin/The Squire's Tale crossover. This oneshot is very believable and was well done.
6. The Beginnings of a Bad Joke - This was intended to be a full-length Merlin/The Squire's Tale crossover, but so far it isn't finished. I still found it to be very good, though.
7. Home - Written by our very own Erin, this oneshot is beautiful and fits perfectly with the Narnia series.
8. The Phantom's Opera - Collected drabbles from the Phantom of The Opera fandom.
10. Little Do You Know - A Les Mis poem. Usually I don't like non-ryhming poetry, but this was done very well.

We'll begin this magical collection with this lovely cosplay of Esmerelda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame:
Isn't that absolutely beautiful? Look at it. The lighting and pose in the picture are amazing.
Next, a lovely work of art portraying Mulan, from the movie bearing her name:
She has always been one of my favorite princesses and LOOK. The simplicity and character in this is just gorgeous.
Thirdly, we have a playful bit featuring a surly Peter and indignant Wendy from Peter Pan:

Next we have yet another Mulan cosplay (I told you she was my favorite):

Can we just talk about how this guy has the smirk down perfectly? And how annoying it must have been to get all that body makeup on? And the smirk I know I'm going on about it but the SMIRK
Neeeext...we have a nice, curious Tink over here. I don't like Tink but hey, it's a good cosplay.
I like her eye makeup. And I wonder how they made the wings.
Seventhly, I present Aurora and Philip from Sleeping Beauty:
That was my favorite dress she wore. And look they did the weird curl thing in her hair and it somehow looks good. Score.
Next we have Lilo and Stitch from the movie also by that name.
Just because Lilo is adorable in the movie and in this cosplay.
Next, we have our favorite long-to-short-transformation gal, Rapunzel. From Tangled. Ya know.
That girl is so pretty, even though that isn't what I'd imagined Rapunzel to look like in RL. But still. Pretty overall.
And now, for our final presentation...I give thee...
Yep. Tulio and Miguel from The Road to El Dorado.
I haven't even seen this movie and I love these guys. Seriously. Can't you just see the lovableness in their faces? They look like they'd be fun to be around. Like Flynn Rider. Anyway.

Today I am bringing you 10 lyrical verses from the wide, wonderful of musical theatre (and yes, spellcheck, that is how you spell it). Unfortunately, 10 verses means I can only mention 10 musicals, and, as we all know, there are many more amazing musicals out there. So, if your favorite isn't listed, I apologize. These are in no particular order, because how do you possibly say that one musical is better than the other? I love them all.
1. To start off our lovely collection, I bring you this stanza from Les Misérables.
Do you hear the people sing?
Lost in the valley of the night,
It is the music of a people who are climbing to the light.
For the wretched of the Earth,
There is a flame that never dies.
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
Of course, nearly all of Les Mis is quotable and absolutely beautiful. I chose these verses because they are so hopeful and touching, especially with the music. The lyrics that follow are stunning as well, and all the more poignant because Valjean himself is ascending to paradise as these words are being sung. Marvelous.
FEELS!!
2. On a happier note, I next bring to you these words of wisdom from the less well-known A Little Princess.
If that makes me headstrong, fine.
That's a fault I'm glad is mine.
I don't want to go along with the crowd,
Don't want my spirit broken and bowed.
Why do I have to hide what I'm feeling inside? I want to live out loud.
I know, I know, A Little Princess is a children's story. But this song is beautiful and the words very inspiring. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
3. Thirdly, I share with you this little gem of insight from Into the Woods.
Sometimes people leave you
Halfway through the wood.
Do not let it grieve you,
No one leaves for good.
Short, I know. But true words that hopefully inspire you.
4. For the next one, I have some lyrics from a movie-musical you might not have seen or heard of: The Prince of Egypt.
No life can escape being blown about
By the winds of change and chance.
And though you'll never know all the steps,
You must learn to join the dance.
The whole song is amazing. A bit of trivia for you, the lyrics for this movie-musical were written by Stephen Schwartz.
5. Number five!! For this, I have some lyrics from a movie that became a musical. You have probably seen the movie, but when it was re-invented as a musical, some truly amazing songs were added. I bring you lyrics from 'If Only (Quartet)' from The Little Mermaid.
If only you could glimpse,
The feeling that I feel.
If only you could notice
What I'm dying to reveal.
The dreams I can't declare,
The needs I can't deny.
You'd understand them all,
If only you would try.
I've felt like this before, haven't you? And the melody accompanying it makes it even better.
The quartet...perfect.
6. These lines are from a relatively new music, called Once.

And warred with yourself.
It's time that you won.
Inspiring words and an enchanting acoustic duet.
7. If you haven't seen this-movie musical, you are missing out! This next section is from the hilarious, alluring The Fiddler on the Roof.
Oh, what a melancholy choice this is.
Wanting home,
Wanting him.
Closing my heart to every hope but his,
Leaving the home I love.
Bittersweet, but undeniably beautiful.
8. Next, I have one of my favorite musicals ever, one that I sincerely hope you've heard of - Wicked.
So if you care to find me,
Look to the Western sky.
As someone told me lately,
Everyone deserves a chance to fly!
This song was brilliantly written. Love the confrontation and the talent of the performers.
9. This movie-muscial is known, but not by everyone. Even if you have heard this, take a moment to appreciate these words from My Fair Lady.
I'll never know,
What made it so exciting.
Why all at once,
My heart took flight.
I only know, when he
Began to dance with me,
I could have danced, danced, danced, all night.
Sweet, innocent words, by a lovestruck young girl. I think the composer perfectly captured the emotion.
10. The big finisher! Those who have heard this musical have mixed feelings about it. I myself, do not at all appreciate the plot, but some captivating music and lyrics came from it. I give you, Love Never Dies.
Were it still that other time,
I'd make time itself somehow bend.
But now, I'm not that strong,
And time keeps moving on.
We love, we live,
We give what we can give.
And take what little we deserve.
Featuring the amazing Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess. Once again, this musical's plot has problems for me, but I adore the music.

Of course, there are a ton more I would have loved to mention (The Phantom of the Opera, Annie Get Your Gun, Bells Are Ringing, etc.) But I'll save those for another time. Okay everyone, Erin here. I just wrote this little oneshot while talking to Anna and she said I should post it...so...here it is. This is sort of embarrassing (posting something like this), but hey. Blame Anna.
Just so you're warned, this is borderline crack!fic and not meant to be taken seriously. Tongue-in-cheek, and all that. Anyway, enjoy it. :)
The Horror of Reality (an Eagle of the Ninth oneshot)
Marcus winced as his leg twinged in irritation. He really shouldn't be wandering about just now, so soon after the quest for the Eagle and the whole running-from-the-Seal-people thing, but the spring air and his restless nature insisted he be outside. He lowered himself carefully onto the stone bench in the garden, looking out over the pond and smiling as he remembered all the times he and Esca had fished in it before they had left for the north.
His reminiscing was shattered cruelly by the sound of a slammed door in the house. Heavy, rushed footsteps pounded through the atrium and burst through the back entrance. Esca appeared on the steps, panting and looking about himself wildly. The Briton caught sight of him and instantly ran over.
“Esca,” he said, his brow furrowing in worry as he stood up. “What's going on? You look like you've seen a—”
“I had a dream, Marcus,” Esca broke in. His hands were shaking; he ran them nervously through his already mussed hair. His eyes darted around frantically, as if making sure everything was the same. “I had this horrible dream, there was a woman, she was in strange clothes and sat in some sort of odd chair and her face was painted with a lot of cosmetics and—”
“Wait, wait, calm down.” Marcus gripped his former slave's arms tightly and forced him to sit down. “Just calm down and tell me slowly, eh? What did the woman do?”
Esca gulped down air as if he had had none for hours. Gradually his limbs stopped shuddering, though his eyes were still frightened and muscles tense. “I dreamed—I dreamed that she...created us,” he whispered in horror.
Marcus's eyebrows lifted in confusion. “Created us?” he asked slowly. Do I really want to know what this means? he added in thought.
“She imagined us,” the Briton explained with a shudder. “We were nonexistent and she—she invented us in her mind. I dreamed that we—we were only characters in some created story. I dreamed—I dreamed—” His voice broke and he bent over, as if in pain. “I dreamed that we aren't real.”
The Roman's eyes widen in sudden horrific understanding. “You mean—you mean that we're—we're just a figment of someone's imagination?”
Esca nodded solemnly, the despair evident in his face. “What if it's true? What if we're just shadows in somebody's mind and they things we say and do are not our own?”
“I will pray to Mithras,” Marcus said abruptly, standing and beginning to make his way to the house. “Surely he will show us what to do.”
“But don't you see?” Esca gasped desperately. “If what we do is made up by this woman—then how do we know she does not control our prayers as well?”
Marcus stopped short, the terror creeping up on him and hunching over him like a ghost. “No—no it can't—it can't be possible...” Tears flooded his eyes and he fell to his knees. “I'm not real! I'm not real! I'm not real...”
* * *
Years later, a woman in a wheelchair bent over her desk and scribbled away at a scrap piece of paper. Her powdered face bent in concentration as she emptied her creativity onto the page. Now, if only this one scene would come out correctly...
With a curse she let fly the crumpled paper. It hit the wall with a smack and fell to the floor. “In the name of all that is holy, Marcus,” she muttered through her teeth. “I wish you wouldn't be so dramatic!”
